I've been using the Opera Web Browser for the last week or so.

1st.     It will not replace MS Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.

2nd      It is fast and will take care of 99% of your web needs. Many people will be able to use it entirely.

3rd. It is a good, reliable browser.

4th. It's now free.

Nationwide Taxpayer Ripoff

When is the last time that you drove down the highway without having problems with road construction.

I am at a truckstop in Minooka, Ill. I think that the last time that I stopped here was over a year ago. Possibly two years ago. The road in front of this truckstop was under construction then. It is still under construction today.

You can't go anywhere in this country without encountering some major road construction. Much of it is re-doing the job that they did a couple of years ago.

Roads used to last 15 to 20 years before needing any major repair.

What happened?

Wages for road construction went up!!!!

Contractors and workers found that they could make very good money constructing substandard roads. And there was lots of job security in it. Think about $30 per hour plus overtime. (Many of those illegal Mexicans are out there working on highway projects and making more money then I am.)

Only now, the roads need repairing every year or two, and they are engineered to only last that long. Think about the fact that they are also being paid for with your's and my tax dollars.

An election is coming up. Let us get some changes going to save tax dollars. Let us demand competent engineers on our highways. We're paying enough for them. Let's get these projects done right so that they last a few years....

Scientology faces criminal charges in Belgium

Scientology faces criminal charges in Belgium!

Nothing wrong with that. I think that all churches and church members should face criminal charges, starting with that idiot in the White House.

But before passing judgment on them, I decided to look up what they were about. I went to the Wikipedia Encyclopedia and read about
the Church of Scientology

There is one point dealing with religions and religious people of any faith. It does not matter which faith we happen to be talking about. Hmmmm.... I would quote an uncle of mine, but Bravenet would probably kick me off of here if I did that. So I'll change the wording here:

"When you are playing cards with anyone who claims to be religious, you have a problem.
The problem is not to simply find out if they are cheating.
The problem is to find out how many different ways they are cheating."

In reading about what the Church of Scientology stands for, I found that their religion  probably takes a healthier stand then most religions.

Then I re-read the article and thought about it. The religion makes more sense then most religions. But they probably have the same old nut cases for practitioners. And they probably don't like the competition in Belgium...

Pick the side that you like...
